My model for the day. This shoot was spontaneous, so I was really happy with the way it turned out!
My Instagram followers kindly asked me to write a post on my perfume collection. My collection has grown over the years, but it didn’t really begin until I quit my last job. At my previous job we were not allowed to wear perfume due to allergies. Now that I work from home, I can indulge in these delicious scents! Lastly, I tend to alternate scents through out the year, during the fall/winter seasons, I like to wear D&G and Chanel and in the spring/summer time, I tend to wear Fame and Daisy. is that weird? Nope!
Chance by Chanel. This is definitely in my top 3 favourite perfume list. I usually wear this perfume when I know I’m going to be out for a long time. This scent lasts throughout the whole day/evening. The scent is very sophisticated, as cheesy as it sounds, I feel very confident when I wear it. Girl power!
Daisy by Marc Jacobs. How cute is the bottle? When I first smelled this scent, I fell in love with it. It’s feminine and playful, and if you love floral scents, this is perfect for you! $85 at Sephora.
Last but not least, Lola by Marc Jacobs. This is the first perfume I ever purchased. It came in a pack with hand lotion and roller. I believe I purchased this pack at Winners for $40. It was a great deal!. This perfume is one of my favourites, every time i spray it, it brings back memories from my teen years. Absolutely love it.
There are a few more that I want to add to my collection:

We are finally having good weather here in good ol Kitchener Ontario. Since It was a beautiful day, my boyfriend and I decided to head out for lunch. We ended up going to a Boston Pizza that opened up in our area. The cool thing about this restaurant, is that right next to it there is a bowling alley. It’s a great place to either go bowling then have dinner or vice versa.
My favourite food at Boston Pizza is the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. It’s super delicious. If you love spicy foods, I suggest you try it. It’s extra spicy! ( You can also ask them to tone down the spice)
This is my boyfriend, Travers Thompson. We have been dating for almost 4 years now, ( Anniversary is in June!) The funny thing about him is that he does not mind posing for pictures…..
However, when I try to get one of me and him, he always puts on a funny face. Even though it’s not the best picture, it still makes me laugh and I appreciate a good laugh 🙂
We had a great day, it’s moments like this that I treasure the most. We don’t get to spend a lot of quality time together, so when we do, we try to make it as special as possible.
Thanks for stopping by and remember to be kind to one another!

It’s raining like crazy outside so I did not have the chance to shoot any pictures today. I was looking through my phone when I came across the picture below. Lately I have been noticing how flowers are finally starting to bloom. It was a windy day when I took this picture (with my phone) so I was not able to get a lot of good shots.
question of the day: What do you like to do when it is raining outside? I like to cuddle up and read a book in bed. I find the rain to be soothing which makes me feel at peace.

I have been receiving questions regarding what editing apps I use to edit my photos on my iPhone. Right now I have two that I absolutely love. Both apps are free and can be found at the apple store on your mobile.
The first one is Instagram, I’m sure you have all heard of it by now so I am going to keep this one short. One of my favorite filters on Instagram is called “X-PRO 11” Below is a picture that I took of a fire place, the one on the top isn’t filtered, and the one below it, is filtered. Keep in mind that not all of your original image will make it on to Instagram unless you adjust the size before you open it on this app. I did not take this photo if the Instagram camera, I took it with the camera on my phone ( which takes larger pictures)
Another filter that I use quite often is called “Sutro”. As you can see below, the first photo is not filtered and the second one is. You can definitely tell the difference. The first photo is really washed out ( the weather was terrible on this day) where as the second one is full of color and you can see the details much better. I did add some exposure
(this option is located right above the filters) If I want the full image to show on Instagram, I would use their camera option, which sizes the picture for you right away, this way you don’t have to crop your photo at all.
The second app that I want to share with you guys is called Snapseed.
“Snapseed is the only photo app you’ll want to use every day. It makes any photograph extraordinary with a fun, high-quality photo experience right at your fingertips.Anyone can enhance, transform, and share their photos with ease using incredibly advanced features from the leader in digital photography software. Built-in Google+ capabilities make it even more powerful to share your images with your friends and family.” (source: play.google.com)
The main reason I love snapsneed is because unlike instagram, you can edit your whole photo, there aren’t any size requirements. Even though it is more advanced than Instagram, once you play with it a couple of times, it becomes really easy to use. Some of my favorite options are cropping, exposure, black and white and a filter called drama. You can also pint point a source and blur out the background.
The filter drama is one of the main reasons I use Snapseed. This filter adds life to a picture. The image shown below pretty much describes what I mean.
There are many more features and filters available on Snapseed, I am just covering two of my favorites otherwise this post would be very long. If you want to check out everything else this app has to offer click here to be directed to their website.
I have to admit that I use more than just the two apps that I listed above, however those two are the ones I use the most. Some other apps that I like are, PS express and Fotor-PES. I am the type of person who is always searching for new apps to try. Sometimes I download 4 apps with in the same hour and end up deleting them. If you have any suggestions or have any request on apps that you want me to review feel free to leave them in the comment box.
Question of the day: What are your favorite editing apps?

One of my new years resolutions was to photograph people and events. I recently went on my first shoot which involved taking photographs of a lovely woman who needed head shots for a article she was submitting. We ended up shooting at a local park which turned out to be a lot of fun. I am not going to lie, I was really nervous when I first read the e-mail she sent me, I only had two days to prep for it which made me question myself and wonder if I was ready for my first photo shoot.
On the day of the photo shoot the weather was not that great, it was cold and windy. ( this definitely added to my nervousness) I was worried she was going to be too cold and end up cancelling the whole thing, lucky for me, she was a great sport and we ended up having a great shoot. She was a lot of fun to work with and very energetic making my job much easier than I thought it was going to be. By the end of the shoot we decided to take some fun photos of her jumping. I was actually really happy with how it turned out. Below is the unedited version
Question time: Since I am a beginner, I’m looking to a buy a beginners lens for my Canon T1i, right now I am deciding between:
Which one do you guys think I should purchase? I want a lens that will take really good close up shots and portraits. let me know in the comment box below
