Sunday was a full day of sessions. I got the opportunity to photograph this lovely lady below. I’m not going to lie, the first thing I noticed when I saw her was her red hair. I instantly got excited. After a few shots indoors, we took it outside. It was a cold foggy day which made the photos that much better. For the shots below, we had her stand in front of a tree. I was not anticipating the contrast between her hair and the trees to come out this way. I was genuinely surprised when I started editing. All in all, I’m completely in love with how these shots turned out!

What’s not to love about a beautiful winter storm? When I woke up that morning, my first thought was “I MUST capture this beauty” My boyfriend thought it was ridiculous that I wanted to go out in -10 weather, but why not? Luckily, I have a fellow photographer who also loves to spontaneously freeze while capturing one of nature’s most beautiful scenes. Once we arrived, I could not believe how beautiful the snow and trees looked
Our goal was to run out, snap some photos and run back to the car, instead we ended up wondering through the conservation park snapping photos. We couldn’t pass it up. ( yes I was freezing but it was worth it)

I’m excited to share my first session of 2017. The lovely lady below wanted portraits taken because she’s never had any professionally done. When she contacted me I was very excited because I love taking portraits in the winter. We were really lucky this day, the sun was shining, the air was crisp and the location we shot at was quiet.
Rae was shy at first but once I got her talking, she became more comfortable. When I first meet a client, right off the bat, I let them know that this is supposed to be a fun experience for them, I want them to feel comfortable and to also trust me. At the end of the session she told me that she had a great time and that I made her feel at ease. I was really happy to hear that! Below are some of the shots from that day!
QOTD: Do you enjoy shooting outdoors in the winter and do you have any new year resolutions? Mine is to book as many outdoor sessions as I can and to blog more often!
I recently purchased a Canon 50 mm lens, best purchase I’ve made in a while! Below are some shots I took.
Make sure to follow me on:
Fall, my favourite season. The one season that can instantly change my mood as soon as I step out the doors. The colour change, the smell, the crunching leaves. I love it all.
Beautiful day = impromptu photo shoot. Photos were takien with my Iphone 5s. The natural light made it really easy to shoot! It’s hard to believe that it’s fall when it’s scorching hot outside 🙂 Hope all of you had a great day!
Below are a few pieces I picked up to decorate my bedroom. Right now my theme is Paris so don’t mind all the references!
“Paris is always a good idea” Mug from Chapters. $9.99. Can also be found on the indigo website. I’ve been wanting this mug for quite sometime but it was always sold out. Once it was back in stock, I had to snatch it up.
Silver Eiffel Tower from Walmart. $9.99 I’ve been looking for the perfect Eiffel tour for months. I wanted a white one originally but when I came across this one, I fell in love.
Paris Daydream from Bath and Body Works, on sale for $12.50, this candle is from their spring/summer collection. I love the packaging, I should of bought a spare one because I do not plan to burn this one at all!
Fresh Water Lily Candle from Chapters for $2.50. I found this candle in the sales section after waiting for months. I refused to pay $10 for it. The good thing about Chapters is that their items go on sale very often. I’m glad I waited. The scent is absolutely refreshing!
I’m also in love with the glass jar that it comes in. It fits perfectly on my dresser and looks beautiful.
That’s the end of my mini haul. I hope you guys enjoyed it. If you have any questions about the items above, please leave a comment.
